‘Listening is my best feature,’ says Nancy, ‘If I don’t know you, how can I create the perfect end result?’
A must-have for every home is proper lighting. ‘Lighting is so important to me. I like to back-light, especially on top of armoires and behind plants…it’s so nice to walk into a room and have that little glow in the corners.’
One of her “Tricks-of-the-Trade” includes faux finishing. ‘I’ve used this everywhere; I’ve even done ceiling fans,’ she says. ‘Or, I might find just the right wall sconce or accessory, however, the finish may not be quite right. No problem, I can usually work some magic with special glazing or dark wax. At least, I’m not afraid to try! If I can’t do it, I have a very talented artist/faux finisher I can call on.’
Another is her custom window treatments and bed ensembles. ‘Every customer has a special way of living, and the treatments have to work for them. Having an extensive library of fabrics at my finger-tips helps me find the perfect fabric, color and texture for each application.’ Texture is also paramount in Nancy’s decorating.
And, third would be critiquing architectural plans before a client’s home is built or remodeled. ‘I see things that are sometimes overlooked by architects and I love to “walk” through the plans and tweak where necessary. Again, I have to get to know my client’s lifestyle to do this.’

First, she utilizes the local Kerrville furniture showrooms (Rustic Elegance and Moore’s Home Furnishings). She also frequents San Antonio’s many fine furniture galleries (Louis Shanks and Stowers Home Furnishings). If the mission is not complete, she frequently researches and purchases the finest pieces from Restoration Hardware (RH Home), Sherrill Furniture, Hooker Furniture, Arhaus, Modloft and Herman Miller, directly, or through one of the showrooms in Dallas’ World Trade Center and Design Center, a resource mecca to the trade.
Whether you are building a custom home or remodeling, Nancy can help you make the right decisions the first time. Her services include staging one room or an entire home, custom drapery and shades, bed ensembles, furniture, rugs, accessories and all types of floor covering (wood, tile/stone, cork, porcelain plank, vinyl plank and carpet). Nancy can also assist in the selection of paint, cabinets, counter tops, appliances, lighting, plumbing and hardware. In addition, she keeps an up-to-date resource of qualified and reputable contractors, sub-contractors, vendors and installers to recommend when needed.
